The Homestead Planner Kit
A homestead is a lot to hold in your head. This planner gets it onto paper — gently, one page at a time. Print the pages you’ll use, fill them in pencil (plans change), and keep them somewhere you’ll see them. There’s no rush to do it all at once.
Do less, on purpose
The most common homesteading mistake is trying everything at once. Pick a few things per season and do them well. A calm plan you actually follow beats a heroic one you abandon by March.

The Homestead Planner Kit
A bird’s-eye view. Jot a few things in each box — not a full to-do list, just the shape of the year. (Northern hemisphere; flip the seasons if you’re south of the equator.)
| Season | Grow | Raise / animals | Make & preserve | Learn |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Spring | ||||
| Summer | ||||
| Autumn | ||||
| Winter |
Tip: keep it to two or three things per box. White space is a feature, not a failure.

A goal is just a skill plus a first step. Fill one card per thing you want to learn or build this year — and don’t fill them all at once.

No spreadsheet needed. Jot what you spend and what you grow, and you’ll see what actually pays off.

What paid off this year?
A line or two at year’s end — what earned its space, what to grow more of, what to skip. This note is the most useful page in the whole kit.
