Your Haven account and all of your homestead data are yours. You can delete them permanently whenever you like — no need to ask, and no “contact us to cancel” runaround.
The easy way — in the app
- Open Haven and go to Settings → Privacy & data.
- Tap Delete My Account.
- Confirm.
Your account and all your data are removed and you’re signed out. This cannot be undone.
If you can’t open the app
If you’ve already removed Haven from your phone, email us from the address on your account:
admin@haventheapp.com — subject line “Delete my account”
We’ll confirm it’s you, delete your account, and let you know when it’s done.
What gets deleted
Everything tied to your account, including:
- Your login and profile (email, name, username)
- All your homestead data — plants, animals, harvests, pantry, journal, projects, to-dos, and any finances you tracked
- Photos you’ve added
- Posts and comments you’ve made in the community, and messages you’ve sent
Shared homesteads
- If you joined someone else’s homestead, what you added there is part of their homestead, so it stays with the homestead’s owner. Any recipes or remedies from there that you’d shared to the community come off the community, without your name. Everything else of yours is deleted.
- If you own a homestead you share with family, deleting your account deletes that shared homestead for everyone in it — the app tells you this before you confirm.
What that means
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. We can’t recover a deleted account — so if you’d like to keep a copy of your records, export your data first (Settings → Privacy & data → Export) before you delete.
Your data is removed from our live systems immediately. Any copies in our routine encrypted backups are cycled out within 30 days. We don’t keep your personal information after that except where the law requires.
